Where did the name come from?

Mr Bernard Palmer

Mr Bernard Palmer

Having a lifestyle brand and offering a service that helps others create their own magazine-worthy environment has been a forever-dream in my mind.

The name, A Palmer in California, is in homage to my father who came from England and dreamt of coming to California while growing up in the country, riding his bike 21 miles to and fro while being an apprentice to the newspaper. Later, he sold books door to door until he saved $19K , then came to California and bought a home by the Pacific Ocean (off of scenic Highway 1). Proving that anything is possible if you have a dream, you can make it happen.

While he was in hospice, I asked him why he chose California and he said: “Well that was easy, it was on the cover of all the magazines”.
